Founded in 1954 in Encino, Calif., El Torito is a chain of full-service casual-style Mexican restaurants. Its entr e menu includes grilled steak fajitas, saut ed salmon, vegetable enchiladas, carnitas, guacamole, chicken breast and carne asada. The chain provides a range of desserts that includes brownie sundae, home-style flan, chocolate volcano cake and deep-fried ice cream. El Torito also offers take-out and delivery, as well as catering and in-house banquet services. The chain has outlets throughout the states of Arizona, California and Oregon and operates franchised locations in Japan, Turkey and the Middle East. El Torito maintains a location in Cypress, Calif.
