Suffolk University is fully integrated into the city of Boston with its campus buildings nearly indistinguishable from the government offices and Beacon Hill businesses that surround it, and college students with backpacks blend in with government workers and tourists. While best known for its law school established in 1906 as a night school for immigrants, the university also has an undergraduate program in arts and sciences and a professional business school, both added in the 1930s. Today, the university offers a multitude of academic programs and degrees and occupies 16 buildings in downtown Boston. Suffolk has 13 Varsity teams and plays NCAA Division III sports.
