The Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair's goal is to enhance the many advantages of living in Upper St. Clair by providing support for programs and projects that are not funded by taxes. The foundation strives to: promote education, sponsor arts programs that enrich residents, promote physical and wellness activities, encourage scientific projects to improve the quality of life and support technology advances for the township. The foundation counts on monetary support from residents and volunteer participation to further its mission.
There are more than 25,000 members of the International Union of Elevator Constructors throughout the United States and Canada, all of which trace their roots back to this founding chapter in Pittsburgh. Among its many other contributions to the community, the IUEC donates labor and materials to local Habitat for Humanity projects.
