Associated Oregon Industries is one of the states largest nonpartisan business associations and is a joint effort between Oregons employers, state and nonprofit business organizations. It has more than 20,000 member companies employing more than a third of the states private workforce. It represents members before the legislature and state agencies in areas of education, environment, health care, labor law, natural resources, taxation and transportation. The association achieves consensus with state agencies and the public and provides effective leadership for the business agenda in the legislature. It provides research, education, services and resources to businesses within the state. Associated Oregon Industries is based in Salem, Ore.
