Local 802 American Federation of Musicians is a collection of professional musicians throughout the Long Island and New York area. Members of the union can rely on the Union fighting for their best interests. The Union is part of the American Federation of Musicians and AFL-CIO. This office is located in Suite K in the professional building at 54 Sunnyside Blvd.
The goal of B'nai B'rith is to prepare Jewish teens to be the leaders of tomorrow. The organization has an office on Manetto Hill Road, adjacent to (but not affiliated with) the Y building. B'nai B'rith offers travel programs to Israel, as well as career preparation. Spirituality is key, as members learn what it means to be a Jew in this day and age.
The American Heart Association works to raise the awareness of and funds for the treatment of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The association holds offices across the nation, including this location in Plainview on Bethpage Road.
Kids Connection –better known as ACDS, or the Association for Children with Down Syndrome– is dedicated to providing top-notch care for children with Down syndrome. The folks at ACDS realize that early intervention and support is best for people with Down syndrome, and make sure to provide year-round care and services for children and adults with this disability. Additionally, ACDS provides a nursery for small children.
