The Hawaii Pest Control Association acts as a lobbyist with legislative issues. Representation before the legislature is one of the main reasons people join together to form an association. HPCA represents you here in Hawaii. You could you do it yourself, but numbers count. Legislators do want to talk to individuals, but they are absolutely influenced by larger numbers of voters involved in a particular issue. HPCA is at it daily, monitoring, talking and gathering information. It is doubtful that you could be away from your business for extended periods of time.
