American Legion Post 294 is the Powder Springs location of the country's largest veterans organization. It received its charter in 1984. It offers programs to support the needs of veterans from all branches of the U.S. armed forces, as well as youth in the community. It also holds patriotic events for the public.
Smokecreek Mobile Home Community is located opposite the intersection of Centerville Highway and Norris Lake Road. The community is on a wooded site and features 264 lots, a lake, picnic areas, play areas, basketball court, pool and a club house. On-site management is provided by A.R.C. (American Residential Communities) and services include 24-hour emergency maintenance and care of common areas. The A.R.C. office, located on Smokecreek Parkway, also handles the renting and purchase of lots within the community.
This is one of a set of twin high-rise condominium communities adjacent to Colony Square. The design of the building is by the architecture firm Jova/Daniels/Busby and was finished in 1975. It is a tribute to Le Corbusier, the Swiss-French legendary architect. The textured concrete and functional, though spacious, floor plans pay homage to the legend. The other twin is Hanover House.

Ramah Darom is a Jewish organization that provides programs for Jewish youth. Its main production is a summer camp that offers campers outdoor activities, sports, developing friendships and religious information. It also provides trips to Israel, and rental facilities for various meetings and events.
