Create Arts Center is a private non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1986. It offers arts classes, camps and therapy to children, teens, adults and families.

The Columbia Lakefront, located at the Columbia Association headquarters, is a venue that hosts community events and is home to the Columbia welcome center. The Lakefront hosts a variety of live special events like concert series, live entertainers and a summer festival that offers dancing, movies and live music.
An institution in Baltimore perched in the woods above the Jones Falls, the New Arts Foundry does its magic in bronze to produce sculpture castings. The foundry has been serving artists, architects, sculptors and institutional customers for more than 30 years.

Don't let the concept of a bowling alley in a strip mall fool you—once patrons step into the lower level of White Oak Duckpin Bowling Lanes, it's time for fun. 24 lanes are spread across the playing floor, which is open to both casual bowlers and members of the ladies', seniors' and youth leagues who practice there. Other highlights of this inconspicuous alley include children's birthday parties and Saturday night cosmic bowling—complete with music, fog and a light show.
The Ellicott City B&O Railroad Station Museum is dedicated to preserving the legacy and experience of American railroading, and to educate, interpret and present its history to its audience. The museum's collection contains numerous artifacts pertaining to the railroading industry's long history. The museum also concerns itself with preserving, documenting and presenting representative objects, skills and communal records from all facets of the railroad industry. Ellicott City B&O Railroad Station Museum is located in historic downtown Ellicott City along the oldest railway line in the US.
Located in Timonium's Fairgrounds Plaza, HotPots is a contemporary pottery studio that offers paint-your-own pottery services. The studio hosts camps, workshops and programs for after school and scouts, and it also provides the avility to rent out the studio for parties (mosaic, children's, adult, events, outings, etc.).
Camp is held during four summer sessions. Workshops offered include Tween Night, Ladies' Night and a variety of other specialized workshops. The Ellicott City Historic District lies at the heart of Ellicott City's Main Street. In 1772, Joseph, John and Andrew Ellicott purchased 700 acres of land along the Patapsco River. They created grist mills and exported wheat and other goods along the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
Today, the district is home to all kinds shops selling antiques, clothing, hand-made jewelry, accessories, candy, toys, wine and more. In addition, there is a nice selection of restaurants and bars. The Ellicott City Historic District has a rich history.
