Craftsmen Pat Rodarte and Michael Merkle opened Galimaufry Gallery in 1975 to sell their own crafts of knitting, weaving, leather work and stained glass.
The gallery now also features works from more than 100 artists and craftspeople.
The Life Force Arts Center is a performance and spiritual art gallery operated by the Life Force Arts Foundation, a nonprofit organization. Performances include theater, dance and music, artist workshops and literary book signings. In addition to serving as an artistic space, the center also offers a variety of programs, including classes in astrology, shamanism, tarot, meditation, reiki, sound healing, energy work, expressive arts and Wicca/Paganism
The Chicago Mosaic School is a non-profit educational institution in Chicago's North Center. Students of all levels and ages are welcome to register for classes and workshops. The school specializes in the art of classical and contemporary mosaics. Programs are available from beginning to advanced study, and classes for kids are offered. Areas of study include architectural mosaics, sculptural forms, Greco-Roman portraiture reproduction, glass on glass and modern mosaic study.
