The California Institute of Abnormal Arts is a live entertainment venue. This venue is not for the faint of heart, as it is decorated with a macabre circus theme with lots of clown paraphernalia. The venue, which has a full bar, hosts a variety of musical acts on its main stage and screens movies on its back patio.

Satsuma is an artist-run gallery and working studio devoted to fine painting, ceramics and mixed media. Located between Glass Horizons and Scavenger’s Paradise, the gallery is unique in that after viewing the works of art, if there are artists currently at work, visitors are encouraged to watch as the artists are creating. The space was once a textile factory and is on the grounds of the old Satsuma Avenue Mission Church. The gallery has set business hours but works of art can also be viewed by appointment.
Road Theater Company is a playhouse that supports and nurtures new works from artists. It was established in 1991 and is committed to revitalizing the NoHo arts district with innovative plays and educational outreach. Past productions include Madagascar, White People and The Bucher of Baraboo.

Parking and the entrance, however, are at the rear. Century 8 Theaters shows first-run films. The theater occupies two levels; there are three screens upstairs and five downstairs. A concession stand is located just inside the front doors, to the left. There, guests can get the usual assortment of popcorn, soda and candy, along with gourmet coffee. Century 8 Theaters is known for its affordable prices, and features a four-tier ticket structure that includes "early bird," "bargain," "twilight" and "evening" screenings.
The open-air NoHo Arts District Farmers Market, on Bakman Avenue at Magnolia Boulevard, sells locally grown fruit and vegetables, cheese, juices, baked goods and much more from artisans, farmers and vendors in the community. NoHo Actors' Studio sits in the heart of the NoHo Arts District. The mixed-use venue occupies a second-story space above Indexx and Pitfire Pizza. For professionals, NoHo Actors' Studio offers rental space for performances, casting sessions, rehearsals, film shoots and more in three separate theater studios. Space for film screenings is also available. Additionally, NoHo Actors' Studio holds acting classes at multiple skill levels. For the public, NoHo Actors' Studio frequently stages in-house and guest productions.
