The McLean School of Music provides private lessons in guitar, bass, piano, violin, voice, flute, trumpet, trombone, saxaphone, clarinet, euphonium, baritone and tuba. Group lessons are available in guitar, bass and piano, and students range in age from four years old to adult. For a two-hour minimum, classical and jazz musicians can be hired to entertain at private events. Options include solo guitar, flute and guitar duo, strolling string trios and quartets, a brass quartet and a small jazz combo.
Liberty Town Arts Workshop is a fine art gallery and art studio that offers classes in pottery, drawing, watercolors, painting, knitting, creative writing and weaving. The gallery, which is open daily, has featured artwork by Sarah Perry, Robert Martin and Nita Adams. Sign up for a class or come explore the gallery.
Bach to Rock offers a variety music lesson types for all ages. Options include individual and group lessons, summer camps, jam sessions, studio recording and Beat Refinery, which teaches students to DJ. Students can learn to play the guitar, bass, keys and drums or take voice lessons.
A Rock City program is available for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years and Kids n’ Keys is available for children ages 5 to 7. Bach to Rock also offers birthday parties for kids ages 4 and up.
