The best way to describe Mercantile Home is the way it describes itself: contemporary art-meets-old time general store. It is a unique kind of shop, which sells everything from art to handbags, clothing, candles and home decor. Everything is handmade, and much of the merchandise features the work of regional artists. Mercantile Home is located next to the Grand Eastonian Hotel on Northampton Street.
