The Medallion Rug Gallery is full of chromatic rugs lining the floors and walls. It has downstairs and upstairs areas that are both decorated with richly colored, intricate rugs. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and willing to listen and make suggestions to help their customers.
This collector's treasure trove carries the largest inventory of stamps in the Bay Area. Established in 1968, Treasure Island specializes in ancient Greek and Roman coins along with international stamps. Owner Rudy Schroeter runs a friendly shop with many long-term customers and decades of experience (he's also been crew chief for the West Bay Opera for 17 seasons). In addition to a large inventory of stamps, coins and collector's supplies, the shop provides appraisal services for estates, insurance and sales.
