PAWS Animal Shelter is a non-for profit, entirely volunteer-run animal welfare society that cares for stray and unwanted pets in the hopes of finding new homes for them. PAWS has dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. See the website to view the pets waiting for adoption. All pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vet checked, vaccinated, and come with a bag of food and a carrier or a leash. PAWS welcomes donations of time and supplies, and information on how to volunteer or donate is available online. Low-cost spay/neuter certificates are also available at the shelter.
This nonprofit dedicated to the rescue and preservation of parrots began in 1999. The no-kill shelter facilitates adoptions and also offers boarding services for pet owners. Membership and volunteer opportunities are available for fellow bird lovers.
