Walker High School is a part of Jasper City Schools, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Established in 1917, Walker High School serves more than 750 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, business education, and family and consumer science. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, and health and physical education. In addition, Walker High School offers a variety of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, softball, cross country, wrestling, tennis, soccer, and track and field. It operates several student organizations, such as the National Honor Society, a student council, and key, photography, science and library clubs. The school conducts foreign language sessions in French and Spanish. Walker High School is located in Jasper, Ala.
