The Life Arts Center for Healing and Shamanic Studies was founded by John G. Myerson, a graduate of Harvard College who has a Ph.D. in psychology from the Union Institute. Myerson was the recipient of the Acupuncturist of the Year award in 2000 by the American Association of Oriental Medicine and serves as an adjunct professor at Union Institute University. The center offers acupuncture, herbal medicine, massages and psychotherapy and is located across from the Framingham Public Library.

Christine Lee is an acupuncturist with an office located on Lexington Street. She specializes in new age acupuncture and medicines, including facial renewal acupuncture, gua sha, zen shiatsu, and herbal formulas and medicines. She also practices Traditional Chinese Medicine. She believes that happiness leads to healthy life and a healthy life leads to happiness. She is a licensed practitioner and is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine.
