Founded in 1883, The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Area is a nonprofit organization that administers a variety of programs and services to more than 30,000 individuals annually. It coordinates over 35 programs and has operations in several areas of Onondaga County in New York. The Salvation Army of the Syracuse Area provides life skill training and outreach and counseling services for homeless youths. It also offers food and gifts for low-income families during holidays. At A AAA-1 Abuse & Addiction facility, our passion is, simply, you. Our mission is to restore you and your families hope. We exist because we feel strongly about helping people overcome their drug or alcohol addictions in a safe, medically supervised and supportive environment. At Our facility we recognize the value of every person, and are guided by our commitment to deliver the highest quality of treatment to addicted and dual-diagnosed individuals. We accomplish this by providing exemplary physical, emotional and spiritual care for each of our patients and their families. Our goal is to provide the highest standard of personalized patient care possible to those suffering from drug addiction, alcoholism, and co-occurring mental health disorders. A AAA-1 Abuse and Addiction Helpline is a place of healing; we restore the diminished spirit using a holistic multi-disciplinary approach to treatment in a loving and supportive environment.
The Salvation Army donation centers accept clothes donations, furniture donations, car donations, and other gently used goods. All items sold at our thrift stores help fund local programs that heal addictions, restore families and change lives.
