Martha's Vineyard Community Services oversees a network of programs that provide necessary services to the island community, including access to health, education and human services. Those programs include Connect to end Violence, Early Childhood Programs, Disability Services and the Island Counseling Center. It also manages the Thrift Shop in Vineyard Haven, the proceeds of which go toward funding Community Services programs. Wiet Bacheller serves as president of the board of directors.
Integrated Counseling Centers was started in 1994 by Elizabeth and Timothy Ryan and offers mental health and substance abuse treatment services. Its interdisciplinary team approach maximizes available resources for each client's treatment. The clinic offers counseling for individuals, couples and families as well as stress management. It also offers counseling for elders and consultation with families of elders, and has employee assistance programs.
Integrated Counseling is conveniently located on Industrial Park Road, with easy access to the highway and plenty of free parking.
