Founded in 1943, the Kitsap County Health District is a public health agency that offers disease prevention and family planning services. Located in Bremerton, Wash., the agency also provides assessment, immunization and health promotion services. It administers the Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) program, which is a federally funded program that includes consulting, referral and resource coordination services for children with special developmental needs.
