Founded in 2001, Rita Drabek Elementary School provides academic programs and extracurricular activities for students in kindergarten through grade five. It conducts special classes in art, music, health and character education. The school also offers speech therapy services for students who qualify in the areas of articulation, language, voice and fluency. Its computer laboratory features more than 25 multimedia computers and a television studio. Rita Drabek Elementary School additionally provides reading recovery programs and tutorial and counseling services. Located in Sugar Land, Texas, the school is managed by the Fort Bend Independent School District, which operates several high, middle, elementary and specialized schools.
