Puritan Furniture is a retail furniture store located on five acres in West Hartford, Conn. The company sells bedroom furniture, bookcases, chaise lounges, chairs, daybeds, desks, dinettes, dining room furniture, entertainment centers, leather furniture, lamps, pictures, recliners, sofas and sectionals, rugs and sleep sofas-all from a large selection of national furniture companies. It offers delivery services primarily to Connecticut and Western Massachusetts but can arrange delivery to bordering states depending upon the size of the order. Puritan was founded in 1931 as a manufacturer of living rooms selling directly to leading department stores in the Northeast. It operates a distribution center outlet in Wethersfield, Conn., and a juvenile store in Rocky Hill, Conn.
