Norwest Herald has been recognized for award winning news and sports stories. With a state-of-the-art publishing facility located in Crystal Lake, Ill., the newspapers circulation is nearly 34,000 daily and 35,500 on Sunday. In addition to the daily newspaper production, the Northwest Herald also circulates targeted, specialty publications for area communities and interest groups. Editorially, the Northwest Herald has been awarded the Mabel S. Shaw award from the Illinois Press Association and its sports department has been named within the top ten in the nation. Established in 1987, the Northwest Herald was created by combining local and area weekly newspaper publications into a full-service daily newspaper.
