Montgomery County Sanitary Engineering Department provides water pollution control and water supply services. The sanitary engineering department operates under various departments that include water distribution, wastewater collection and wastewater treatment, account information and customer services. Its engineering group provides engineering support and technical expertise to the other divisions. In addition, it provides several other services, including capitol improvement projects, reviewing and approval of developer projects, inspection of construction utilities and recording maintenance of all sanitary department facilities. Its customer services division provides revenue collections, which include bill reading and cashier office programs for water and sanitary sewer services.
