The Modal Shop, a PCB Group company, provides structural vibration and acoustic sensing systems to engineers. Headquartered in Cincinnati, it retains close ties to the University of Cincinnati s Structural Dynamics Research Laboratory, one of the recognized leaders in sound, vibration and modal analysis research. Its name was chosen to combine the science of modal, or structural testing, and the full-service attitude of its shop-like organization. The Modal Shop s products include structural test accessories, tachometers, multi-channel signal conditioners and VibeAlarm. In addition to sensors, calibrators and system sales, an array of test equipment is available in the rental program.
