The McHenry County Mental Health Board is dedicated to preventing and treating mental health disorders, developmental disorders and chemical dependency. The board was established in 1969 as a result of the Community Mental Health Act. Today, the board has a budget of more than 16.2 million dollars to fund over 22 agencies and eight different health programs, including a children's health initiative.
