Bridgeport Hospital is a private, nonprofit hospital, and the principal affiliate of Bridgeport Hospital & Healthcare Services. The hospital is a member of the Yale New Haven Health System with Yale-New Haven Hospital, Yale-New Haven Childrens Hospital, and Greenwich Hospital. It has more than 400 licensed beds, 2,000 employees, 500 attending physicians representing 70 subspecialties, over 200 medical and surgical residents and fellows in programs affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine, and more than 400 volunteers and auxilians. Bridgeport Hospital also offers a variety of community services, including blood draw stations, business health, cancer, cardiology, home care outreach, and senior services, screenings and flu shots, training classes, urgent care and other satellite facilities, volunteering and walk-in medical centers.
