Kingdom Projects was incorporated in 1976 as an extended employment sheltered workshop. The company employs more than 100 certified employees, who have been approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Educations divisions of vocational rehabilitation. Its activities include recycling, placement of recycling bins, a production department, janitorial service, maintenance of the Mineola Hill Rest Area on I-70, contract trash pick-up and mowing. Financial support comes from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Callaway County Special Services, Missouri Department of Natural Resources Solid Waste Program grants and income from the work performed by the company.
