Joseph Kelly is a Pittsburgh native with more than 25 years of experience in the field of furniture-making, specialized finishes, design, restoration and client service. Joseph attended the Ivy School of Professional Art and Carnegie Mellon University. While a student, he apprenticed at Colonial Art Furniture learning the fine art of wood finishing and restoration. Over the years, he has worked with several furniture and cabinetry shops. In 1990, he opened his own business. Kelly Custom Furniture & Cabinetry is located in Pittsburghs Lawrenceville neighborhood and is part of the 16: 62 Design Zone an area with more than 80 shops, galleries, businesses and services providing art, antiques, home and office furnishings, renovation and construction resources. Our office and gallery/showroom is housed in a turn-of-the-century building restored, designed and renovated in 1990. The workshop is located in a nearby 3, 000 square foot woodworking studio.
