Idea Connections roots go back to 1976, when Carey Corea founded ICE Communications, one of the first agencies dedicated to sales promotion. In 1986, Corea left ICE and founded a second promotional agency. After 10 years of growth, he merged this company with an international management consulting firm taking the name of Idea Connections. The company specializes in promotional marketing. Products and services include marketing, product introductions, packaging, sales incentive programs, Web sites, multimedia, brand development, broadcast and print advertising and sweepstakes. In 1999, the company founded the National Sweepstakes Company, a resource for planning, designing and administering sweeps, games and contests that also offers a line of online promotional services. In 2002, it became an exclusive United States licensee for The Apollo Game Card System, which allows for mass customization of promotions for specific accounts, regions or individual store locations.
