Incorporated in 1961, HealthCare Chaplaincy, also known as HCC, is one of the largest, nonprofit centers for pastoral care, education, research and consulting in the world. It offers care services for patients and families in several health care institutions throughout the greater New York region. The center administers several clinical, educational and research programs. HealthCare Chaplaincy offers continuing education workshops for congregational clergies and volunteers. The center conducts more than 300,000 pastoral care visits in over 40 clinical sites annually. It provides clinical pastoral services at the Lawrence Hospital Center, St. Johns Riverside Hospital and Griffin Hospital. HealthCare Chaplaincy maintains a marketing and communications department.
