The Haines City Police Department is a state-accredited, full-service law enforcement agency that preserves peace and safety, enforces laws and ordinances and safeguards constitutional rights. Located in Haines City, Fla., it is internationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). The Haines City Police Department employs a staff of more than 40 full-time, sworn officers, volunteers and civilians. It operates a communications center that responds to calls and provides emergency police, fire and medical services. The Haines City Police Department maintains the Special Response Team (SRT), which provides services in emergency and dangerous conditions, such as barricaded and hostage situations, bomb threats, special events and civil defense.
