Opened in 1963, Guy B. Teachey Elementary School is a part of Asheboro City Schools, which also operates South Asheboro Middle School and Balfour Elementary School. The elementary school offers education in a variety of subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, science and health education. Guy B. Teachey Elementary School has a library that provides links to online encyclopedias and stocks magazines, newspapers and fiction books.
