Founded in 1914, Bethesda Mission is a nonprofit Christian rescue project that provides food, shelter, clothing and counseling based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It conducts an after school program that serves youths between the ages of 7 and 18 and includes classes on spiritual development, creative learning, and arts and crafts. The project maintains a womens shelter facility and administers evangelism programs, as well as organizes nutrition, parenting, budgeting and stress management sessions. Bethesda Mission has a youth center and medical clinic and publishes an online newsletter. Its long-term discipleship program deals with the causes of dysfunctional lifestyles.
