Armed Forces Veterans Homes Foundation is a nongovernmental organization that solicits, receives, manages and disburses financial resources by means of grants and awards to agencies that serve the needs of the veterans of the military. It was founded in 1996 as a military-related association led by the Air Force Sergeants Association, Association of the United States Army, Fleet Reserve Association, Non-Commissioned Officers Association and the Retired Enlisted Association. The foundation also informs and educates the public about the needs of veterans and plans, directs and implements all phases of fund-raising activities. The foundation is located in Suitland, Md.
