Appletree, located on East Ponce de Leon between Brockett and Idelwood Roads, offers childcare from six weeks of age and after-school care for school-aged children up to 12 years old. It has two pre-K classes that are part of Georgia's program. Founded by Terence and Iranetta Willis in 1997, the childcare and pre-K school is one of two Appletree centers in the Stone Mountain-Clarkston area. The pre-K classes use a High Scope curriculum and that program is modeled in the preschool classes. The center also provides extracurricular activities, including art and music, and field trips.
