American Nutrition is a producer of more than 290,000 tons of pet foods and snacks. Based in Ogden, Utah, the company reported sales in excess of $160 million in 2001. It is one of the leading companies in the pet food industry. American Nutrition s food for pets is sold under brand names that include Atta Boy, Atta Cat, Natural Harmony, Vita Snacks, Maintain Chunks, Basic Plus and Vita Bone. The Atta Boy brand includes various package sizes of dry and wet pet food, snacks and large and small dog biscuits. American Nutrition is an employer of approximately 250 people, most of which work in Ogden, but the company has operations in Arizona, California and Washington.
