Founded in 1956, Alpharetta Elementary School serves more than 750 students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes curriculum and instructional support teachers, specialists, counselors, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial employees. The school offers a range of student programs in art, music, physical education, and technology and media studies. In addition, Alpharetta Elementary School offers early intervention programs and conducts sessions in special, gifted and talented education. It operates various student organizations, such as a student council, safety patrol squad, and band, chorus and orchestra teams.
