Angelica Corporation acquired Royal Institutional Services and its affiliate, The Surgi-Pack Corporation. Royal is one of the largest health care linen services companies in New England, providing full linen management services to the health care industry with annual revenues of approximately $45 million. The company provides its health care services out of two Massachusetts facilities in Somerville and Worcester. Combined with Angelicas existing Pawtucket, R.I., and Ballston Spa, N.Y., facilities, the acquisition more than tripled Angelicas presence in the New England region. Angelica Corporation is a leading provider of textile rental and linen management services to the United States health care market. Royal Institutional Services is located in Worcester.
