Located in Amherst, Mass., University Health Services offers a range of routine and urgent outpatient care services for adults and children. It also provides acupuncture services for the treatment of various disorders, including arthritis, insomnia, sinusitis, urinary problems and fibromyalgia. In addition, University Health Services offers counseling services for mentally challenged individuals. It also operates a diagnostic imaging department that performs CT scans, X-rays, ultrasounds, and magnetic resonance imaging and bone densitometry tests. University Health Services additionally conducts health enhancement programs for athletes, as well as educates students on issues related to alcohol and drug abuse.
