Stokoe Farms

I have been going here with the family for years and we always enjoyed the activities in the fall and getting a istmas tree in the winter. Unfortunately, we have come to understand that the family who owns this farm are completely irresponsible with the health and safety of their customers, and they seem to be quite angry and unkind as well. We saw them shouting at children and saying vile things to them just for asking questions. I do not normally complain about anything, and I had overlooked things like splintered boards and rusty screws in the past, but what occurred the last time we went there is the single worst experience I have ever had at a business with my children. They have signs basically whining that they are supposed to tell people to wear masks and not pet the animals to prevent disease transmission, but they completely refuse to enforce this for either customers or employees. I witnessed numerous employees interacting with children with only inches between their faces for sustained periods of time with their mask pulled down intentionally. There are a lot of people who are way too hysterical about the dangers posed by coronavirus, but the way the owners and employees here behaved was extremely reckless and basically designed to ensure transmission of disease. Someone´s grandmother undoubtedly died because of their lack of care for their customers. Somebody else´s father was surely left with lifelong onic pain because of them. As if all that wasn´t enough, they used their farm, during business hours, for a political rally. This is a farm for children, and they knowingly invited political organizers and participants that had extremely inappropriate words and phrases plastered on their vehicles, clothing, and signage. My children were also forced to hear these things being said by the participants. In the short time we quickly walked to our car, they were subjected to speech that was openly racist, derogatory toward women, and generally just mean-spirited and adult-oriented. It pains me to say that I intend to never return to this farm again. Luckily, there are a LOT of really good alternatives in the area you can do literally everything you would want to do here. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. If you go to look them up on Facebook and you can´t find them, they were trying to every mention of what had happened, got overwhelmed by the negative reaction of their patrons that they decided to just their Facebook page to avoid the natural consequences of their poor decision-making and atrocious behavior.

Wonderful place for the family all ages! We have been taking our twins since they were one and each time the staff has been great and we´ve made great memories. We last went just last week! I was a bit concerned it wouldn´t be as fun with covid but they handel everything to perfection. They followed all protocol with masks inside and when close together. It is the perfect outside family adventure!
