Massachusetts Public Interest Research Group is a public interest advocacy organization, with more than 50,000 members throughout Massachusetts and is located in Boston. Its education fund offers major public interest issues, including cleaning up the state s waterways, protecting Massachusetts parks and forests, resolving consumer complaints regarding merchant fraud, achieving landmark clean car standards and setting the toughest mandate in the nation for the cleanup of power plant emissions. Its environmental programs include safer alternatives to toxics, preserving Atlantic legacy, updated bottle bill and world class forests and parks. Its new energy solutions programs include energy efficiency project and clean energy standards.
