Operational since 1978, Northwest Helicopters is one of the largest helicopter companies in the state of Washington. Based in Olympia, Wash., the company offers a wide range of services to its customers. This includes aerial application, aerial charter and photography, aerial crane, fire suppression, crash recovery, power line stringing and construction as well as motion picture support. The company serves numerous utility industries, such as power line, fish and game including capture, park service, USFS, construction, spraying and fertilizing, charter, etc. Northwest Helicopters has been awarded IGOR I. SIKORSKY Award for participation in the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
