On the south end of Main Street is a family owned and operated restaurant and deli that serves sandwiches and home-cooked meals. Christine's Deli opened eighteen years ago in Cambridge and moved to Woburn six years ago, changingits name to Christine's Main Street Deli. Thisdeli has that friendly small town feeling where patrons know each other and it helps that the family are Woburn residents. Christine's Main Street Deli was featured on a local television food show too. Christine's Main Street Deli opens at six in the morning to serve breakfast. It is known for its five-egg omelets, the breakfast sandwiches made with Zeppy's oversized bagels and fresh fruit. Breakfast is served until eleven a.m. After breakfast a large menu is available consisting of subs made with Dietz & Watson deli meats, paninis, wraps, salads-to-order and the ever-changing list of daily specials.Dailyspecialsupdatesare made the night before onits website and are also listed on a dry erase board in the store. These home cooked meals are what really makes Christine's Main Street Deli unique. Examples of daily dishes include liver and onions, hot turkey dinners, pasta dishes and stir-fry. This is an excellent option to squeeze in healthymeals rather then cooking on a hot or busy day. Recentlythe delihas added baked goods toits menu, featuring cookies, muffins and brownies. On Friday's Christine's Main Street Delifeatures fresh fish purchased from a local market, includinghaddock, scallops and lobster rolls. This seafood is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.This fresh seafood is purchased at a local fish market. The prices at Christine's are veryreasonable and the portions are generous. Everything is made from fresh ingredients and made-to-order.It has a large drink selection and a few tables for dining in.
