William J. Dean Technical High School is a Title I institute that serves more than 1,270 students in grades 9 through 12. The school offers participation in several athletic activities, such as volleyball and basketball. It provides career and technical programs in automotive body repair, data processing, and metal fabrication and welding. William J. Dean Technical High School also offers courses in carpentry, culinary arts, cosmetology, and machine, electrical, computer and diesel engine technology. The school administers cooperative educational and homework tutoring programs, as well as manages a reading club. In addition, it offers health care services. William J. Dean Technical High School is managed by Holyoke Public Schools.
