Established in 1992, East Columbus High School provides education to students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies, English, foreign languages and physical education. It also conducts special courses in agriculture and natural resources, business technology, commercial and artistic production, engineering and construction technology, and family and consumer sciences. The school offers career guidance and scholarships to students. It organizes various arts and craft, musical and athletic events. It has a library, media center and auditorium. It also provides transportation and health screening services to students. The school has a band and various student clubs. East Columbus High School is affiliated with Columbus County Schools and is located in Lake Waccamaw, N.C.
