Founded in 1994, Al-Amal School is a nonprofit organization and a full time Islamic school operating in Minnesota. The school offers classes form prekindergarten through grade 12. It provides an Islamic educational environment for more than 350 Muslim students from Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Its curriculum includes a wide range of subjects, such as language arts, math, science, social studies, Arabic language, Quran, Islamic studies and physical education. The school also provides several extracurricular activities, such as Islamic arts, robotics club, soccer, music, and painting. Al-Amal School has a parent-teacher- association to promote the welfare of students. The association also provides various special activities, such as after school tutoring, annual school picnic, teacher appreciation week, support in organizing of school fund-raising events, quarterly parents potlucks, and addressing parents collective issues with the school and administration. It is located in Fridley, Minn.
