The Washington Division, formerly known as Washington Group International, provides engineering, construction and management solutions to the power, oil and gas processing, mining, transportation and water resources industries. It offers design and build services for transportation projects, including airports, mass transit systems and toll roads. The Washington Division manages nuclear waste management and disposal programs for the Department of Energy and other federal agencies. It is one of the leading mining contractors in the United States. The Washington Division employs more than 25,000 individuals and is a part of URS Corporation, which offers a range of professional planning, engineering and architectural design, environmental, construction, and program and construction management services. URS Corporation also has URS and EG&G divisions.
