Grand Rapids / Michigan / United States
Grand Rapids Brewing Company was formed in 1892 from the consolidation of six local breweries, including The Kusterer Brewing Company, Tusch Brothers, George W. Brandt & Company, Veit & Rathman, Adolph Goetz and The Frey Brothers. They marked the release of their signature brand, Silver Foam, in 1893. In a very short span of time, Grand Rapids Brewing Company became one of the largest producers of beer in western Michigan. In 1993, it opened a historically themed restaurant and brewery that serves a selection of appetizers, salads, soups, pizzas, sandwiches, grilled food items, and handcrafted and specialty beers. The company has a private room that is available for several events, including wedding rehearsal dinners, business meetings, family gatherings, and bridal and baby showers. It can accommodate up to 45 people. The brewing company is located in Grand Rapids.
